Numbers are the right sequence for AJS Matchless
A5745 possibly 1954 AJS Matchless
839/C possibly AJS Matchless competition

No ! :   A5745

So that would be a 1921 New Imperial, beardyimpman?

Or one of dozens of machines, from Sun to Honda, that used an A prefix followed by a four-digit number. Perhaps a photo or two...

thanks for reply, the frame no 839c has sidecar lugs , i think myself they are ajs matchless , hopefully some one in the ajs matchless club will kmow better , thanks
