Help with BSA
« on: September 30, 2005, 01:25:13 PM »
Can anyone help me identify a 1965 BSA. The frame has A50D RR 7231 on it and the engine # is A50D 223.  The body is a cafe desing without lights, kick startBattery and stand The body is black with a silver stripe down the middle the BSA logo is on the top of the tank.  The question is what does the RR stand for and is this a factory race bike?

email me so i can send the pics

Engine prefix 'A50D' would seem to identify the model as a 1965 'Cyclone'  http://www.acay.com.au/~shanep/catalogs/1965/65c-5.jpg

The frame prefix I would expect to be 'A50B' not 'D',
the 'RR' I can find no information about.

Possibly the BSA Owners Club could give you more information.
