Fantastic picture of 1920s Triumph - but what mode

take a look at this super pictures sent to me by Richard Behringer.  It is one of the few pictures that Richard has of his father and would really like to know what the bike is.  Help anyone?

Yes, it certainly is a German OHV Triumph.  The rear wheel doesn't look right for the model S.

After further investigation it doesn'r seem to be a Model S as it has drum brakes and the wrong forks.

I don't think it is a model R (Ricardo), as the Ricardo had a four valve cylinder head, the bike in the photo only apppears to have two valves, certainly only one exhaust valve, and the Ricardo had a distinctive twin pipe exhaust system and enclosed primary drive.

Yes yes, it is true, Riccardo is a four valve.      
Tempo and Nigel are perhaps right, it is a TWN Triumph produced in Germany, but missing the front brake is strange for a OHV motorcycles.

The German Modell S WAS the Model R (Ricardo), but this isn't a Triumph - British or German assembled.
