Flushed with my previous success posting a picture I've just dug out another picture of my Grandfather - this time on an older bike. Any more ideas?

Looks like a 1923-'25 BSA 350 model L 350 side valve to me.
Got one in me garage!

Hi Henry
It looks a dead ringer for my 1926 S26 500cc sidevalve too... hard wood brake blocks and all. (But I've been wrong before and I don't consider myself to be in the same league as other folk on this site)
