Frame identification

Hi,
Can anyone help identify the make of this frame
Any help would be appreciated

1928-32 BSA 'Sloper'. Slopers were made with 350 ohv, 500 ohv and sidevalve engines but I believe the forged frame top frame member (the backbone) as shown in your photo was common to them all.

The weight of this forging has to be felt to be appreciated! It's an awesome lump of metal. A small correction: 1930 was the first year of the backbone frame for the Sloper; earlier ones had a tubular frame.
The ill-fated P&M Panthette used a similar but much more delicate forged backbone.
