1974 Triumph T120?
« on: December 20, 2006, 01:31:13 AM »
Greetings Everyone,
New to the site, contemplating purchasing a 1972 Triumph T120 (I think). The guy wants $200 for her, and she has good compression, but needs ALOT. Not sure what it is. The title has a serial number of "T120RVCG51184". I'm thinkin its a T-120.  How hard is it to get parts for this bike? Is it worth $200, or am I just gonna end up with another junker in the garage? I have brought back a 1981 Honda CB 650 to good condition (new seat, paint, charging system, etc), and am fairly decent at turning a wrench. I currently own an '05 Triumph Bonneville America, and have put 12,400 miles on her since February of '06, and am very pleased with it's performance and reliability.  The Honda is currently for sale or trade, and is very reliable, with 22k on it, but "like new" condition.

Hi there, What you are looking at is a T120R 5speed built in March 1972. If it is anywhere near complete it is certainly worth $200 and then some. Parts are readily available and the bikes are easy to work on. I hope this helps. Cheers, Dave. :)
