Hi Steve

Me and me dad restored one which I still have 25 years ago, it requires a re restoration as he kept it in a damp shed for 15 of those years, is it the green model, if it is I think it was painted in "Polychromatic green". I,ve attached a albeit bad photo after we restored it.

Regards
Mick

Presumeably you have googled for pics ? Quite a lot out there...
Micks pic has lost a bit in the translation somewhere, that green looks a bit too dark/olive in the photo ?

Hi

Just a bad picture, the old escort was never that red either but well faded, the camera appears to have enhanced all the colours for some reason.
The bike is correct except large flange barrels with hepolite 8:1 pistons, spitfire cam shaft, triumph clutch conversion and the petrol tank, we couldn,t find the correct one an ended up putting a genuine gold star tank on it, I think she,s the 1957 model with the Ariel full width alloy hubs, but can,t remember the date exactly, i,ve got the paperwork some were.
She runs like a dream with the engine set as it is, I,ll get round to re restoring her one day.
I have some literature, Haynes manual, parts lists etc if you need any info.
Regards

Mick

Nice bike.
Are you in Quetta - good motorcycling territory.
The BSA would certainly be different  ?
