Need help identifying BSA

Hi everyone new to the forum just bought a BSA the frame number is FB311756 and the engine number is BB333756. Doe anybody know any information on this bike and what ive bought also will need help with parts for restoration if anybody could supply any information would be greatful best regards Peter

On that list, with those numbers, that would about put it as a Model B33 somewhere in the mid to late 1950s - not necessarily with the engine (or frame) it started with ?
Quite common for engines in particular to have been changed out, was cheaper than a rebuild for quite some years...

never owned either a B33 or a B31... often fancied one

its not like that now its in bits just hope i can get it back together ha ha

im looking for a sidecar for it as i have not passed my bike test

you might want to pass your bike test before you ride this machine attached to a chair

Hi i have rode these bikes before in the 70s just never took the test i have to rebuild the beast 1st lol

with a chair attached ? did you not need a licence for a 500 bsa in 1970 , forgot to ad let me know if you need anything I have quite a few parts , bomber if you must have a B33/31 (don't know why as the side valve Norton is better) get the swingarm B33 pre full width ariel hubs , its the best of the bunch , B31 is to slow , but better still get a Ariel far better bike I think

its a bsa b33 500 swingarm 1958 i may need some bits front mudguard  center stand i have striped the bike now and painting the frame so i can start putting it back together

they are easy to work on , watch the center stand some of the repro ones dont reach the floor , the wheels look like c15 to me but could be better than the ariel hubs they used , tin ware front guard easy to find but not cheap
