hi again,
will have a good run out on bike this weekend.hope this sorts out the wet sumping.
have been using sae 30 mineral oil in the oil tank as per the manual.is this correct?

Yes.
I am still a bit puzzled by the wet sumping as Triumph plunger oil pumps are not generally prone to this.
