Pre-1920's Side-Car Canopy Pictures....
« on: January 03, 2019, 12:01:45 AM »
Hi, can anyone help?
Some years ago I came across a very futuristic looking picture of a pre-1920's sidecar with a sliding canopy like a fighter airplane. I've lost track of it and wonder if this rings a bell with anyone who may have such a picture. If so, would they be able to post a copy of it?
I am also interested in other similar imagery (not necessarily motorcycle sidecars) even including the hinge-over type of canopy although everything must be pre-1920 for authenticity. I am intending to reference this material in a 'steam-punk' art project.
                      Thanks everyone.

Fighters didnt have canopies in the early days.........the pilot had to be able to reach the guns to reload magazines and clear stoppages.

This is probably a bit more modern than you were thinking of ...

Motorcyclists (sidecar-ists ?) are an inventive lot, there is a lot of variety out there.
Unless you can say approx where you saw this, and what bike(s) were involved, its pot luck if someone can find you a match ?

Good luck.
