Vintage Triumph help - 27
« on: October 15, 2007, 07:28:21 AM »
I have what is supposed to be a 1927 model R. I would like to verify that, and find the value of it. Only thing I can find is the NADA guide (US) which doesn't go past the 30's. It's all original, was running a few years ago, and I am sure it will run. Everything on it is in working order.  On the left side of the engine case is "251276" and to the right or towards the back of the motor is "AMT". On the left side at the back of the case is "T27".  On the front frame (steering neck) is "1005926".  Also would like to know where past to post it for sale. Not a great interest for the British bikes here (US), especially that old.  If someone wants it, great, if not, I will keep it.  Any help/links/etc. is greatly appreciated. Thanks. p.s. I have a 1941 Indian 741, and a 2003 Scout. That's my expertise, Indians.

I have been looking through the forums and found the "Identify this bike" section, I should have posted there I suppose. Also wanted to add that one of the reasons I ask the model is because the auction listed it as a 26 model H. When I picked it up it was tagged 27 model R.  From what I can pick up on the internet, I don't think it is an "R".  Maybe it's a combination of the two, a 27 model H?
