Newcomer

Hi, I would like to introduce myself as new member to this forum.
I am based in Manchester and my Dad has given me a 1964 Velocette Viper 350.
Trouble is it is in a million pieces so a full restoration is mandatory.
I hope in future to meet fellow Velo enthusiasts and new biker friendly friends on here.

I have been a biker for as long as I can remember, so am not new to bikes.
Being brought up in the metric age I am not used to working on British bikes at all. All these Imperial measurements are like a foreign language.
Restoring this bike is going to be the steepest learning curve I've ever climbed.

Shouldn't be that bad.
The principles are all the same even if the details may differ.
Worth bearing in mind the Velo (nice bike BTW) comes from an age when people expected to have to work on thier bikes, unlike the latest offering from Hondamamuki where step 1 is plug in the diagnostics, and step 2, open wallet wide.
Take it easy and I'm sure you'll be OK.
