Karma, My parents sold the dealership to the present owners.
What I am looking for is archive information (dealer franchise agreements, etc) that the Corporate Office might have.
Thanks.

Japanese Bikes / Information on old Yamaha Dealer

Does anyone know if there is a source for old archive records on closed Yamaha Dealers?
My parents owned a motorcycle dealership from 1964 until 1982 in Paris, Texas.
They sold Ducati, BSA, Triumph, Yamaha, and Harley-Davidson.
I have contacted Yamaha Headquarters in CA, but gained very little information.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a photo of a newspaper ad from November 11, 1968 of a Yamaha YL-1 Twin Jet.

British Bikes / Looking for Information on old BSA and Triumph Dealer
« on: January 16, 2016, 07:50:29 PM »
Hello, my name is Dickie Towers.
I am searching for information on my parents motorcycle dealership,
It was listed as:  Towers Cycle Shop and/or Towers Motorcycle Sales & Service
The address was: 2026 North Main Street, Paris, Texas 75460
I have attached a couple of photos, one from 1965 and another from 1970:
My parents, Luther and Ruth Towers, owned and operated the dealership from 1964 until 1982.
During this period, they sold new BSA, Triumph, Yamaha, and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.
From 1964 until 1969, the sold BSA, then when BSA went out of business, the began to sell
Triumph from 1970 until 1975.
I am mainly interested in finding any information on the BSA and Triumph years.
Does anyone know if any archive records are kept on old BSA and Triumph Dealers, and if so,
can you reply to my email with details. I would really appreciate any help.
