European and Other Bikes / need some more help
« on: December 01, 2016, 09:35:06 PM »
got a prob trying to register the bike, and there dont seem to be answers to my questions. i've got a 1952 pug, still on its french reg plate. i want to register it over here but i havent got a french log book. also i have found out i'll need a NOVA cert from hmrc, i havent got that either so is there any way i can find out if the bike has got one? can see why the bike has been sold on 5 times in two years but i amnot going to give up. any help would be great andbe rewarded with a crimble card.

mind you, had a mini pick up for a couple of years. had insure it as a commercial vehicle. did no good to explain that the pickup bed was 3 foot by 3 foot. damn nightmare. didnt tell them it had a full race 1100 engine in it.best and worst engine i built. fast as hell but thirsty and wouldnt idle below 2000 rpm.happy days

did think that when i looked at the web site. might have a look at a hidden micro switch or modifying a modern spring switch so it is hidden behind the fake tool box on the left hand side.

usually a bandit streetfighter or my simpson bandit, but then again my everyday bike is a race prepped cbr 600. not sure what would look good  on a 50's bike.

« on: September 24, 2016, 09:51:56 AM »
does anyone know if i can get such a thing as a brake cable with a built in brake light switch? the peugeot doesnt seem to have a provision for a switch  on either the front or back brake and i dont want to add an ugly plastic switch to the back brake. any help or ideas would be a great help.

why was that? and my french is terrible, but some sites to get bits from would be cool. mainly need to know how the grease damped forks come apart, and the back plungers. also need to get a spark plug but again i am unsure which to get. been years since i woked ona two stroke and have never worked on a bike as old as this one, so any help would be great.
