Japanese Bikes / Suzuki gt550 Smoking Issue

Hi All,
I recently purchased a restored Suzuki GT550 1974, I dont know how far the engine was reconditioned, it all looks good but there is a problem as follows:
Under hard acceleration there is alot of smoke, when crusing at 80kmh there is no smoke, but if crusing at 100kmh under that bit more load there is constant smoke?
I have inspected the spark plugs and they are reasonable.
I have also reset the oil pump as per the manual ( it was initially set to high)
The bike has electronic ignition which I have also set correctly.
Has anyone come across this issue previously, or advice on what to check next?
