so here's a postscript.

Just got the certificate etc. through from Bennets. They've asked (as per normal) for proof of my NCB.

Looked through all my last years Carol Nash stuff and couldn't find it stated anywhere. Rang CN and was told that "Agreed value" policies don't carry an NCB. They're happy (well sort of, actually they were quite short) to send a letter confirming I havn't made a claim during the year I was with them but I'll need to contact my insurer prior to them to get their statement for the other years. What a bunch of complete w***ers. Bennets have agreed in principal that as long as I can show I havn't made any claims they'll honor it as a NCB (I've gone for PNCB). NU who were my previous company have agreed to put their bit in writing. NEVER have I had any trouble and inconvenience like I've had with CN. T***ers.

Japanese Bikes / insurance woes
« on: June 18, 2007, 11:43:14 PM »
So... My current years insurance is nearly up and Carol Nash has only gone and added an extra 50% to my premium. Turns out they've changed their insurance provider but they say the cover's exactly the same and this apparantly gives me better service... huh?

So... has anyone got a good recommendation for an insurance company that a) isn't clearly insane and b)that will do an agreed value policy?

Just joined up so Hi to all. Not sure if any of you would regard my pride and joy as a classic but hey it's 25 years old and I've had it from new and I love it.

All original apart from guess what - the exhaust and front seat cover. Kawaski wanted a grand for the exhaust and 500 for the seat - yeah right. Got a question about insurance so maybe I'll hear from some of you. Good day, Good road.
