Hello, I've found out quite a bit about the bike from the web.
Today I've stripped it doem completely, baring actually opening the engine up, which I don't want to do until I know for sure that gasket sets are available for the bottom end.
I have never undertaken a restoration before and am unsure of the exctly what a restoration is supposed to achieve.
That may sound pretty stupid, but for example both the petrol tank & oil tank have dints where the bike has been dropped, is the idea to eliminate these and in effect return the bike to its showroom condition, or should I leave some imperfections as they are part of the bikes almost 40 year history.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
