European and Other Bikes / Monet Goyon Villiers Engine Spares?
« on: November 26, 2007, 01:36:39 PM »
Hello, I have a 1951 Monet & Goyon S3G that came with a Made-under-license Villiers 98cc 2-Stroke... Anyone know if standard Villiers components will work on this engine? I would like to rebuild the engine...   ???

Thank You.

Thank You so much for your assistance. The frame number is Y7 1714 (1931), so without the first two engine digits being legible, it could be either a S31-7 (500cc) or the H31-8 (550cc Deluxe)... Without cc'ing the barrel, any other ideas? Maybe they both use the same head? Here's the whole thing...

Thanks for the response... Here is the top of the tank... The Gear box says "BSA Four Speed" on the inspection cover.... The head is rusted and there appears to be no way that an exhaust pipe could be connected to the exhaust port... Mystery continues...

British Bikes / 1930? BSA Sloper Info?

Hello, I have just acquired what was touted as a 1930 BSA Sloper 600 SV...  The engine number has been degraded over the years, and the frame number "Y1714", doesn't appear to corolate with what I can find... It needs a cylinder head, but I am unsure the true displacement, thus am unsure what head I need... any ideas or help you can provide would be MUCH appreciated!
