Looking for a left hand crankcase for a 1932 BSA W32-6.Other models around that era would probably be compatible. Also interested in any other spares for this bike.
Cheers

British Bikes / 1932 BSA W32-6 500cc side valve
« on: February 14, 2011, 09:40:02 AM »
Hi,
I've just aquired a 1932 6W32 basket case.It appears to be around 90 - 95 % all there. The girders are in good condition, all instruments are in the tank, all tins, main engine components are present and in reasonable condition. No paperwork as I am aware of.
Has anyone got any kind of idea as to what it may be worth in this state and if completed?I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to go ahead with the build,I'm  normally a 60's unit man and this is a whole new field.

Thanks,
Steve

Autojumble / Triumph t100s rebore
« on: April 01, 2008, 05:14:47 AM »
I'm looking for advice as to whether or not my bike is requiring a rebore. It's a 1969 t 100 s.
When started, the bike smokes from the left hand side but gradualy burns everything off.The top end is knocking but the tappets are set correctly. It's difficult for me to say if the bike is losing compression as I've had nothing to compare it with, but I'd say it's not too bad.I'm not sure if new rings would solve the smoke problem,or would it be advisable to go the whole hog    ( rebore, new pistons and rings). The cylinder head will be coming off this weekend  for re conditioning work,is there anything in paticular that I should look out for that may be part of the problem? ???

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply but I should state the job is securing the barrels to the engine casings, not the head (my fault due to subject heading).Would you still use the same method?i.e. no torque? ???

Does anyone know where I can get an attatchment for a torque wrench in order to torque my barrels. It's for a 69 t100 so you know the problem of not being able to get a normal socket in because of the fins.(I think it's 1/4 whitworth). ???
Thanks

Thanks guys,
The bike has been on the side stand lately.I did consider that so since the last time it was used it's been on the centre stand.
Fired it up and the smoke is still there but definately not so bad.I'll see what's revealed when I get the head off.
Cheers.
