Hi Nick,
I stumbled across your thread whilst looking for something else. You've probably seen this, but we published a short article on Perry Vale in our Obscure Makes series in The Sunbeam Club News (which I edit) in October 2014, you can find this on www.sunbeam-mcc.co.uk or the direct link is here:

British Bikes / South of England RealClassic Show: 24/10/10
« on: October 15, 2010, 08:05:12 AM »
For any of you guys based in the South -East, World Record holder Eric Patterson, of EGP Enterprises (better known as Mr Kempton Park) will be our Guest of Honour and is bringing his record breaking Norton JAP. This is the bike he took the AMA Land Speed Record in the Vintage 1350cc class at the 2008 Bonneville Salt Flats meet. This is impressive as the bike is 1149cc while the previous holder was a 1340cc Indian! All very impressive as Eric is of an age where many folk are collecting their retirement pension, he’s Ascot’s Answer to Burt Monroe!
The bike has been finely tuned by Dave Degens (our guest of honour at the Spring Show) and boasts a state of the art four plug ignition system.

Hi Frank,
If you want a paper copy, I sell a reproduction of the JAP engines book, which includes a timing chart for all engines, 1935. See www.elk-promotions.co.uk
