British Bikes / 1950 rigid A10
« on: February 11, 2010, 12:32:52 AM »
I have just bought a rigid 1951 A10 which according to the BSA club is a genuine bike and quite rare. The thing is i an having trouble finding any pictures of this bike (as all early A10's seem to be plunger) to aid my restoration so any you can help me with of your own bikes or others would be very helpful.

I also need front and rear mudguards if you know of any!
thanks David

Hello, I am not an expert but to my knowledge the GP tank was model specific with features that identify it as genuine. For example i think the tunnel was square section rather than round as std(I am not certain of this). Anyway for your purposes replica builders use the 1950 tank which is seamless with the butterfly cap. they are not easy to find but do turn up. Regards David
