Miller ignition was also used by excelsior on their twins and, more numerously by velocette on the le and derivatives. Try the LE Club ? Graham

I have been warned off them suspect castings being the problem mentioned but  I will be forced to at least look at them when I find someone making the heavy weight Webb ones for my velo . Unless someone has a pair of the blades. Graham

British Bikes / Dunkley
« on: August 11, 2010, 05:36:31 PM »
My son has just given me the job of installing an engine in a Dunkley popular. The original engine has been lost so I will probably use a 50cc honda . Can anyone suggest where an original engine may be found to save me from this course of action. Graham

Thanks for the information, I may well contact them. I found another reference where someone had skimmed the cap and honed the white metal back to round, I suppose it depends on the degree of wear. Graham

Autojumble / webb forks
« on: July 22, 2010, 03:22:47 PM »
Wanted a set of heavy weight webb forks or just the blades. They, preferably, should have the single damper. Bent rusted or otherwise damaged forks are quite acceptable if the lugs ,or at least some of them, are salveable. Graham

British Bikes / Re: Unit 500 triumph heads
« on: July 22, 2010, 03:13:45 PM »
Thanks for that , It may be a t100 s, it has the end fed crank like the daytona but a single carb. The head offered is the early type (e3991) so I think I will try to source a late head. Graham

The Head on my T100ss of 1968 is badly cracked I have been offered a replacement but the year is unknown . Are early and late heads interchangeable? what differences are there? Graham
