interesting, ive just looked that book up on amazon and said was £300? Does anyone have it please, be nice to see a couple pics of the bike thats in it :)

Its a bit smokey! The timing isnt quite perfect, only done by hand, and theres some corrosion in one of the cylinders unfortunately, but at least is running for now, sounds much nicer in real life:)

My dad used to race bikes proffesionaly, and had a garage and test bench with a famous singer. This engine was run up, but had an issue with the oil pump, he gave to someone to rectify, and they lost parts, so he gave up on it for 40 years. I've seen a newspaper article on it from years ago , not the same engine as the peck special, but from the same moulds / castings. Will get more pics, and a video as due to be fired up any day soon:)

Hi its now almost done, found out my father bought the moulds and made another engine, will try upload I PIC. Probably worth insuring, any ideas in value?

Interesting photo. No the frame is completely different. And the wheels, have looked. Does anyone know the names of the people in the picture?

Thank you for the reply. And for the picture and info. My father says thats not his engine. Got to say it looks similar though! The frame he has is completely different. He`s not  too happy with me putting much on here hence removed the pic, sorry, and wants to get it running first before anyone knows much about it. He said a few people at that time were playing with different projects, and said he made his himself. I do recall a newspaper cutting he has somewhere that was all about him in a popular publication, the heading was ` ahead of honda by years`. And think it may have been about that engine not sure, so tend to believe him! Its odd it looks a bit similar got to say. He doesnt like attention, but its close to being fired up, so all being well will post some pics on here.

Hi thanks for the replies, not sure why he wanted twin plugs, but is a racing engine. Cheers for the advice, will just go in and make it clear we wont be paying for the shoddy work. Need to find a solution for the head though as guess welding will warp it, can anyone reccomend anyone to weld this, thanks
