British Bikes / Re: BSA 441 One up, three down???
« on: June 15, 2006, 02:58:10 AM »
Ben
yes I belive you can because I have a square barrel 44 Victor that we put togeather to shift one up for 1st gear down for 2,3,4.
Its easyer for me because its like a Norton.
I do know that you cant flip a  latter year A65 to shift one up ,,but the earler twins I heard you could.

British Bikes / B44 kickstart
« on: June 14, 2006, 02:39:46 AM »
I have finished off a B44 Victor basket case after 2 or 3 years of assembley.
It runs well and I am sorting and tuneing up.I got it down so it starts hot or cold with a kick or two.
BUT,,,,,
I cant seem to get the kick lever to return to up position.I put a new spring in.I have had it apart a few times and it sort of works after I put it togeather but after awhile it stops returning. Is there a gasket needed to space out this cover? Can I put another wrap on spring?(I dont think so).
