I have bean in contact with a guy here in denmark that deals in old motorcycles |I asked him if he could id my bike by the frame no. He said  coul my in a week ore so and il see what i can find out.  when i could him he said if the 3 last digits in your engine is 568 you have the original engine for your bike. So its not a powerplus as i thouhgt but apparently a model 13. Wonder what would have looked like!. Stil think the gearbox is wrong for the bike as its a platform mount at the rear of the box. regards

Hi Roger   not sure what you mean,   The sidevalve that came with the bike i beleave is a dry sump engine, it has the pump mounted outside the engine and pipes for an oiltank

Hello. Menny thanks for info. After the info and further seach on internet i feel pretty shure its a 1935 model no E10 Power-Plus 500cc twinport jap.     Oiltank   magneto   carb   front and rear chainguard   rearstand  seat  clutchcover   clutch an brake leaver handlebar etc. and the 500 twinport jap. are missing.   I think i will start putting it together with the side valve that came with the bike, then try and find a twinport if possible.  if ennyone has enny parts or knows where to get hold of some ore maybee even an engine i would be very greatful.   I have famely in England that i visit. so pickup could be aranged. Thanks again for info. Best regards poul b.

Hello. Im new here. I am danish, also live there. I dont have a lot of experiense with forums. so please excuse or tel me if i do ennything wrong {spelling ect}. I have pict up an old excelsior. At first i didnt know what it was. After some searching {alot rather} on the net i identyfied it by the fueltank {room for ampmeter and lightingswitsh}. The frame no is E10/90 witch i think  tells its a 1935 model 10  serial no 90. Can ennyone tel me what it would have looked like as i am unable to find info on this model eccept for one drawing where it is showen  with a two port jap engine. The fueltank on my bike is chromed with pretty lage knee pads {pads missing}. Brake drums are 7" .  The front fork is a Webb populer model. The bike came wih a 600 cc 1935 sidevalve jap motor  no.UCZ/R  44568/SR.  Did excelsior list a sidevalve in 1935?. The gear box witch i dout is correct is an albion  platform mount, {platform at the rear}  Four speed. no hca 856. My aim is to restore the bike. I also own  a norton commando mrk 2a. a 1952 royal enfield 350 bullet that i ride.  a 1952  vincent rapide not running at the moment { faulty crank}. 1953 ariel vb 600 baskit case.  Hope some one knows something about the excelsior. Kind regards poul b
