British Bikes / Re: How to straighten a frame
« on: October 05, 2006, 02:09:10 AM »
Thanks for the advice. Other people have also mentioned Abba, who I have now called.

They were really helpful, and said it would be easy to fix.

I need to put the rear wheel in the frame, take it along and they will measure everything up using a jig, align it and straighten it if necessary.

Thanks again for your help,

JT

British Bikes / How to straighten a frame
« on: October 01, 2006, 06:24:26 AM »
I'm in the process of restoring a 1969 T120 Triumph Bonneville.

The main frame and swinging arm are fine, but the rear subframe has at some point in the past been the victim of a glancing blow which has put it out of true.

As a novice restorer, I have neither the facilities nor the experience to rectify this problem. Does anyone out there know anyone UK-based who could straighten the frame for me?

Any help gratefully received,

JT
