I have two Honda CB 750 LTD'S. The only problem is, one of them is a 1979 with comstar wheels, like it is supposed to be, and the HM 425 exhaust, four into four.Unfortionly it has been painted over. on the 1980 it has four into one exhaust,and spoke rims, with 10th year anniversary Badge'on the side covers. Both bikes are identical other than that. Also on the 1980,on the tank it says 10th year anniversary, but the serial number is lower than my 1979. Also the 1979 has one extra rectifier along with the regulator/rectifer? Could the 1980 be a fake, maybe somebody just changed the tank and side covers? If anyone could tell me, it would be greatly appreciated. The serial number for the 1980 is "RC012100625". and the serial number on the 1979 is"RC013000396". I can't find any parts under 1980 LTD so, I'm figuring it has been modified, or maybe toward the end of 1979 they still had some LTD's and sold them as 1980. It is driving me crazy. By the way, unfortunately the 1979 which is the true LTD was painted over but it does look nice.
