Hi,
I was on holiday with my parents, in Bournmouth in the mid-70s as a teenager & missing my D10 Bantam!
Anyhow being a little bored and at that time girl-shy, I wandered round the town and pride of place, in the window of a Motorcycle shop was an Aspes 125, clip-ons, rear-sets, perhaps the same model as yours, with a information board claiming a top speed of 90mph!
The only other reference to Aspes, I have come across is in the 1976 Observers Book of Motorcycles with a breakdown of the Company and some of the models they produced, I cannot remember the dealer's name but they may still be in business?
My Bantam struggled up to the mid-60s in mph, so the stated speed shocked & impressed @ the same time, I cannot remember the retail price of the bike but it was high compared to the more common 125s on the market @ that time, the Learner limit was still 250cc, a mate had bought a 250cc Ducati OHV single, that was approaching that speed with clip-ons e.t.c. so it was a bold claim for a 125cc bike.!
Cheers
