OLD TRIUMPH
« on: August 12, 2006, 02:39:11 AM »

Hi - Was recently given this old bike as a possible project for myself, a novice rider who doesn't yet own a bike.

Can anyone tell me anything about this? Year, specific model, engine info, etc.

There is an apparent repair to the frame at the top right just behind the seat mount (pic#6), and what looks like some repair at the bottom of the seat post (pic#4) and it looks as though it is no longer symmetrical (pic#3).

Any info or advice as to whether this is worth doing anything with or not, or salvaging any of the parts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Best regards,
Charles Hawk

I would guess it's mid to late fifties, either 500cc? or 650cc?

But what would really help is knowing what the engine and frame numbers are.

The simplest way to identify an old Triumph is to give us the engine and frame numbers.
