Help identifying Motorbike Parts
« on: September 11, 2006, 09:55:50 PM »
Hi there, forgive me if I am in the wrong forum, but I have been given some motorbike parts and was wondering if anyone would be able to identify them for me.

Hope this works.....

I have no idea what they are and for what bike, I think they are made of fibreglass.

If this is the wrong place does anybody know where I will be able to get help.

Many thanks in advance for any help gratefuly received.

Cheers,

Ali. ;D

Many apologies they are so big - don't know how to resize.

You're certainly not in the wrong place! (you could have put this in the 'Identify' section but I suppose it won't matter.

And the photos are fine!

Is there a chance that you could show the other side of what appears to be a side cover (as they generally tend to be easier to identify from the side they are normally seen from) as I must admit I don't recognise what they are at the moment (although the light unit is a British Lucas unit).

Hi thanks for your reply, I will have to get OH to take some more pics when he gets back.

On doing some nosing around I assume that the part with the light attached is called a cowl?

Sorry didn't know there was an 'identify' forum on here, that'll teach me to look before I post! Lol

Thanks!

I now see that it isn't a side cover, but looks more like a battery tray.

Still no idea what they are from unfortunately, although I would expect them to be from a custom 'go faster' kit than original equipment, still, early days, someone else could know more!
