« on: July 28, 2011, 03:06:30 AM »
bought a 66 t120 from a dealer who told me it  ran but hadnt been used since 96.changed oils cleaned out tank and carbs started 5th kick plenty of tickling, but only ran for 4-5 secs at fast throttle then died.cleaned out carbs this time spent a lot of time on pilot jets with fine wire .010" and compressed air,wd40 in air screw hole finger over air passage wd came out of fuel intake passage.put back on bike started easier 2nd kick ran for 5-6secs at fast throttle then died.any ideas? think carbs still blocked?i hate concentrics my monobloc on tiger 100 no problem

Sounds like a fuel issue, but if it was only blocked pilots you should be able to run it above idling speed.
Sure there's enough juice in the floatbowls, and the flow is OK?

check that fuel taps, some times these can cause restricted flow, ( particularly if they have not been in use for some time)
