The demand for Vapour and Soda Blasting services

As a vintage bike owner with vapour and soda blasting experience, I am considering a business offering a high quality bike and parts cleaning service using vapour and soda blasting and maybe adding ultra sonic cleaning if there is a demand.

Has anyone had experience of these services?

Would anyone consider using any of these services to assist them in their restorations etc?

Is there sufficient demand for these services?

Is there a demand for any other services that I should consider offering instead of or alongside the blasting / cleaning ie powder coating?

Being located in the UK do you think there is a more international demand or would postage create a problem?

As a fellow bike enthusiast you opinion’s matter to me, thanks in advance

hi howard,im sure there will be a demand for the services if you are based in the right area,offer good service at reasnable costs and advitise,iv got local a local auto blaster that i use and have heard of a local vapour blaster but have never used them,post would be an option for some people but i prefere going to the 'shop' and see what quality of work is like then drop and collect  parts
as for other services powder coat/stove enamal is usefull as is chrome and you could also offer other paint service ie etch priming etc but the list is endless so depends on space and out lay costs etc you can afford!
good luck with it if you do set up maybe start small and work up?

Locality is subjective unless you live on a remote Scottish Isle. Having said that the trip to deliver  the parts etc would be brilliant for most motorcyclists.
If you offer powder coating and your work is consistantly to a high enough standard then word will get round and people will seek you out and use your services.
Ultrasonics are brilliant for for Jap carbs etc. Good chromers who use triple plating are pretty thin on the ground too.
Offer high quality work; don't be a ripp off merchant and people will use your services once word gets round.
