Wanted for villiers 4F Engine
« on: October 13, 2012, 10:25:52 AM »
Hi
Does anyone have a left hand sideplate for this engine for sale.
Mine has broken up around the clutch adjuster screw and looks difficult to repair.
Might have to consider that option if I can't find a cheap secondhand item.
Don
Nr Bristol
Also still looking for a steering head nut and brake pedal for the Excelsior Consort.

Hi Don
Have you tried this guy, he,s got all sorts for sale, you never know, - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-VILLIERS-DYNA-START-FRANCIS-BARNET-JAMES-etc-a-MASSIVE-job-lot-Norfolk-/350618741030?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5.

How are you anyway, we,ve not spoke for some time - is the DS coming up to Hull yet or are you hanging on to it for a bit.

Regards

Mick

Hi Mick
Thanks for the link. I'll have a look.
The DS Malterre is booked into The Shepton Mallet bike show in February at the request of a local enthusiast.
Did a search on Google a few days ago and found mine plus one or two others in France that were restored.
Don't need an Mot after November 18 so  might even get it on the road.
It probably wouldn't make it all the way to the MoT station and back. without a bit of fettling every 100 yards or so.
Cheers
Don
