1927 BSA - Nickel or Chrome controls?
«

Hi. I have a 1927 BSA S27 which currently has chromium plated controls. My question is should they be nickel or chrome? I'd also like to know when BSA switched over from nickel to chrome, if anyone knows?
Thanks
Colin

Definitely nickel. BSA went to chrome in 1930 for the DeLuxe models, cheaper ones were still nickel.

I can confirm what Leon says, I have a S30-13, a 500cc OHV sloper deluxe which has chrome fitments.

Thanks for that. I had a feeling that they should be nickel, but it's nice to know for sure.
Thanks
