1971 BSA 650 Thunderbolt
« on: May 10, 2013, 02:33:52 AM »
I have a 71 bsa thunderbolt and im wondering how the turn signals work?  They seem to only flash properly when i rev the engine,  at low rpm it just stays lit with no flash or it flashes very slow,   is their a part i can replace to fix it so they flash properly?

The old electro-mechnical flasher relays are sensitive to voltage changes. Replacing the flasher relay with a (correct type)  modern electronic relay often cures a lot of slow/no flash problems, however they also won't work if there is insufficient voltage.
