Child Seat in Sidecar
« on: March 07, 2007, 05:47:20 PM »
Hi There, Can anyone help? I have a 1927 AJS Vee Twin with an Occasional 2-seater AJS Sidecar. This machine has been in the family since 1957 and throughout childhood in the 70's my parents took my brother and myself on many vintage bike events. I wish to continue the family tradition and take my wife and 10month old son on the bike. However we need to fit a child car seat into the sidecar, which I have seen done at the VMCC Banbury run, but I have no idea how to do. Can anyone in the forum offer advice, help etc? Thanks in advance!

a bit late as usual.......
I have used scrap yards for seatbelts to fit into a relient in the past.Centre ones might be more suited to your needs. You can also get kits to fit carry cots into cars I used one before fitting the seatbelt - they have adjustable webbing that would also fit a carseat.

lack of use is a waste of a bike
you are not a biker if you don't use it
