Its related to this one, although not quite identical, so may be a year or 2 separated ?

Well done R! A very obscure motorcycle, but a cute one.

There is (of course!) a Motorconfort site with all the brochures year by year http://www.motoconfort-u54c.com/e107_plugins/autogallery/autogallery.php?show=Motoconfort%2FLes%20publicites and it looks like tele fork and plunger rear was a first for 1950. The model is a 125cc four stroke with side valves - not a configuration used much - if at all - in the UK. At first look I thought it was a two stroke.

I'm sure that the Motoconfort people can give an exact date.

Thank you very much guys, wouldn't have been able to figure this out on my own.

I was kind of surprised when my grandfather told me he found a 50's Yamaha in France, but as soon as he send me the pictures I noticed the seat was off.
This makes a whole lot more sense, he will be bringing it over soon, can't wait to get working on it.  ;D
