Royal Enfield Series II Interceptor
« on: July 01, 2007, 08:56:16 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm in Australia and currently restoring (as the post name suggests) a Royal Enfield Interceptor (Mk. II).  I have the correct British home-market frame, Roadholders, wheels, tank and seat and tinware.  Essentially I have everything BUT the important thing - the engine, which I'm led to believe was removed and put into a sidecar outfit (and subsequently blown-up).

My question regards the availability of these engines.  Any research I've done has indicated that there weren't many made to begin with, and most went to the USA.  So if anyone, British, Australian or American has any idea how common (or uncommon) and/or how expensive these units are, I'd appreciate ANY information at all.

Thanks,
Blue

Interceptor MkIIs are quite rare and sought-after in the UK (as they are elsewhere in the world I suppose)?

I suggest you contact:
