Looking for bike
« on: February 29, 2008, 08:19:41 PM »
Hi. I'm trying to locate the present owner of a 1961 Norton Navigator reg 201 CHO. The reason being, I owned this machine in about 1971 and would love to see it again. Last seen when I sold it on the Isle of Wight. Thanks.

It's still out there somewhere, according to the DVLA database and is taxed, so is still being used apparently.

Dont trust the DVLA page too much. I have found it to be wrong on a couple of times in the past. When I checked the details of  my Jubilee to see if they had it on their system it said it was currently taxed. When in fact it had not been on the road for 20+ years.

You can check if its insured here..

Thanks for that. DVLA of course is grossly understaffed and under funded. I hear also that not all insurance companies are on the data base either!
