Simplest way is to check out either the Bruce Main-Smith site or the VIntage Motor Cycle Club for relevant literature and transfers. BMS is commercial and very well organised for ease of purchase but the VMCC has the ultimate Btitish bike library.
For the other person wanting to be e-mailed with all info on Excelsior, this really isn't practical.
Excelsior made bikes for over 60 years and many different models. You have to be a bit more specific about what you're after.
Cheers, Bob

I have no reference to a 1937 G. 4but I do have reference to a G 14 of 1937 which is a 500 Excelsior maximum which should have crank case letters beginning with G.J.A 7.0 compression on 81octane
I have a 1935 350 and have worked on quite a few in the last20 odd years hope this will be of help regards Geoff

sorry about this the Excelsior did make a 350 and 250 H. O. V machines and one of these could easily obtained designated G 4 they are  warrior and norsman the spelling is probably wrong on norsman regards Geoff

:)Hi Geoffus, are you sure it is a G4,it could be a G9 which is a 350 OHV that was built in 1937 of which i own one and another is in the HAYNES MUSUEM in the UK.The NORSMAN was a 250 OHV pushrod engine like the G9. ;)

 G. 4 Excelsior the G. I am almost certain is for 1937.  I believe the warrior was probably G.9so I guess the G. 4 is the norsman .I did see one in the UK many years ago, I think he was in a museum called sparkford however where this was I have no idea except it is somewhere in the south of England  warrior and norsman  H.O.V  it must be remembered that Excelsior 2 strokes as well.  Prior to the second world war, I'm sorry if this is a bit peculiar I'm doing it microphone that is supposed to understand what I say, I have dates about this.  As you can see
regards Geoff

Hi Guys.  Just saw the mention of the Haynes Museum and remembered some pictures i'd been sent a while ago.  I've just posted them in the gallery at http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/Bike%20Directories/Excelsior%20Bikes/Excelsior%20Index.htm

Cheers

Nigel.

I saw one at the national motorcycle Museum between a maximan and a CTS before I went to sparkford and have just checked the video it is on it seems to be a much more substantial frame than the one in the photographs
I have a 1939 Excelsior handoutwhich shows a cutaway of the H O V engine designated J 8  norsman J 9 warrior all so J D 4 two-stroke    I wonder if it survived the fire  regards Geoff
