Wanted. Vintage cable return springs!
« on: December 12, 2008, 02:46:30 PM »
Hello, I'm looking to get hold of some old coiled plate type springs for fitting on my New Hudson. I've attached a picture of how the only one that i have looks like. If anyone has any to spare (of course i will pay!) or knows where to get a hold of this sort of thing please let me know, a good few hours searching on the internet reveals nothing!

Thanks ;)

These are called "volute" springs - I bought mine in the gardening section of the local hardware shop (in Australia) where they were sold as spares for secateurs!
