Gilera Gaucho
« on: February 23, 2010, 10:18:23 PM »
Hi folks, I'm trying to identify a 70s Gilera imported from Argentina.
Has a one piece tank and body like a Triumph Hurricane 750 triple and on what would be the "side cover" is a painted cowboy on a bucking horse and the model name "Gaucho". The basic bike and engine look very much like a Gilera "Macho 200". left side case is a little more tear drop shaped in the rear portion w/o the cut out for the kicker. The sump, carb, front tubes to engine, cyl and head all look the same.
My friend has jpegs and I've suggested he join and post..(I can't get the jpegs to open for anybody...)But if anyone knows of this bike let us know.
Thanks
