BSA C10L Trouble with the electrics, any ideas?
« on: October 26, 2010, 08:46:07 PM »
I have a BSA C10L which runs fine but it won't charge the battery.  The regulator/rectifier is a modern component and is intent on burning out if the bike is run for too long or the lights are switched on.  Any ideas how to solve this problem or where to source the correct component?  Thanks!

HI HWorth,
The C10L came standard with Wipac alternator electrics, not noted for their fire starting qualities ???
Your best bet is to join the BSA C10/11/12 forum, on

The members there have a huge amount of experience with the C models
