what bike is this?
« on: October 17, 2011, 12:10:27 AM »
Hi all,

a friend on mine has asked me to see if i can find out what bike this is. i have searched for many hours and the closest i can come to is a thumpy probably thruxton, but i cant find one thats the same. i know the pic is not great, but you can clearly see a straight exhaust. it is unlikely this bike has been modified as it used to be raced in vintage races so it would have to be close to standard i would assume.

Appears to be in a Norton featherbed frame, with Norton back wheel.
Depending on what class of racing, it could be anything but standard.
And with a full fairing, it is anything but standard.
Someone will have to pull it out and get better pics, to say what the rest of it is.

Opethiselps.

Certainly a Norton Featherbed frame with what appears to be a Triumph Pre-Unit engine in it.
