Hello All from a newbie,
My great passion is restoring cars so I normally spend much time on classic car forums but like many "older" people, I cut my teeth in the 50s on motor cycles, which included a Velocette Venom.
Today, as luck would have it, I recovered a very sad looking Velocette from a derelict building, which looks very much like my old Venom but that was a long time ago so I'm not sure and I would therefore appreciate some help. I suppose the frame or engine number would help and I would be pleased if someone could tell me where I can find these numbers on the bike and how to identfy the model from the numbers if this is possible. I feel another restoration job coming on so I will have to add this forum to my list! Many thanks in anticipation. Max
