hi , has anyone one got any experiance using a fuel cat ( in tank) . its supposed to increase octane rating and cool the charge burn and lube the valves . is this just the usual load of marketing rubbish or does it really work
??

Hello Carl.
Having worked in engine design for over 40 years, I can assure you that these gadgets don't give even the tiniest benefit. There is not the slightest doubt about this.
Take a look at

. This does what it says - it debunks some of the myths about so-called in-tank catalysts and much else. They are 100% rip-off.

Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel recently did a show on several of these things and showed some actually incease fuel consumption!
