So, there I was...
« on: November 09, 2019, 11:54:41 AM »
..having a nice cuppa with the rest of the bike-riding old boys on Thursday when the conversation went around to "I hear Bob's got a new bike"
"what's that then?"
"He's got a Motobecane"
"Wot one of those horrible mopeds?"
"Nope, a 125 SV from just post-war, it doesn't run as it's not complete, and he got it from one of those French sellers at Kempton. Looks really nice though".
Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and keep schtum. This was one of those times. :-X

naughty Rex.

Actually those little 125 sv Motobecane were a very hard working and robust little bike, but that's the trouble, they got worked to death, gearboxes took a real hammering and they are usually well knackered.

Easier to fix than a scabby two stroke though.Spares are abundant.

A lot of those type of old froggy bikes have been turning up here in Australia lately. Must have more of them over there than we thought to be worth while sending a container load half way round the globe.
