Approx Value?

Hi, I'm not sure how many of you have read my entry in Autojumble but this is a bit of a saga - bear with me please!

My dad who is terminally ill has been restoring a 1939, 1940 released 98cc Francis Barnett Autocycle.  He sent some bits off to be professionally seen to and the courier (TNT) lost the bits when delivering them back to him.  The Police are involved and the courier company have accepted responsibility (their driver left them behind a wall and signed for the parcel himself and someone stole the boxes).  The bits included amongst others the chrome bits and the frame.

The bike which fully restored would have been identical to the one in the picture section on this site.  They have asked dad to submit a claim for compensation but we are usure of the value of the bike.  Does anyone have any idea how much a fully restored Francis Barnett 1940 98cc Autocycle (Villiers engine) would be worth?

Also if anyone has any idea where there is one for sale (any condition) or even parts for one, could you please help?

It's a bit difficult to say really, although I doubt the parts themselves would have any great value, as autocycles aren't particularly highly sought-after items, not that I consider myself to be any kind of expert on the subject so I could be wrong.
It may only be worth pursuing a claim for the value of the work done and transportation costs of the lost parts etc.?  

I can only suggest that you contact the FB Owners Club, the NACC, or the VMCC ?
