Can anyone help Chris from South Africa in identifying his Sturmey Archer box and its applications.
Casting # LS 385 on the main case and # 9192 on the side cover. Please see attached photo's.

The copy of the June 1930 SA parts catalogue I have states that the LS 385 gearbox case (LS 385 is the model number not casting number) is for AJS R4 and R6 models. Which is slightly curious because I was always told that gearboxes SA made for AJS bikes were 2 stud fixing and not 4 stud ?

Still looking for an LS 383 2 stud gearbox for an AJS S10 if anyone has one for sale ?
