"...low horsepower and limited reliability" - not very complementary! But probably accurate. I looked up WASP (West Australian Steel Product) - thanks John - and found it very easily c1953. Like Villiers engines built in Ballarat, they seemed to be industrial engines. And indeed they made the magnetos and carburettors too.
